Free Daily Countdown Google Slides Templates for Quarters 1-2

 


Last summer, I created Daily Countdown Slides for a 180-day school year to integrate daily math into my science class. I noticed my students were struggling with decimals, place value, percentages, and fractions, so I wanted an easy way to incorporate these concepts into our daily routine. I shared the link in several Facebook groups dedicated to Google Slides, but my posts were removed because they included my blog name. I wasn't charging for them; I just wanted to help fellow educators. Later, I realized my school year isn't actually 180 days long. So far, I've only made slides for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2. You are welcome to use these Google Slides.

Classroom Arrangement

 Arranging your classroom can be tricky especially if you would like to make the most out of your classroom space. I really struggled with arranging the tripod shaped students desks.  I tried setting them in groups of four students which formed a semicircle.  One of our evaluation format used in TN does require teachers to have students work in groups.  The format varies from school to school and from administrator to administrator.   Here are a few pictures of my classroom before the first week of school. I bought the clings at the Dollar Tree. I simply used hot glue to attach them to the wall.  I am not too crazy about my assignment board. I plan to change how it looks on Monday.
